About Us

Hello! We are Julie and Robin Cates, sisters who grew up right here in Salina KS. We both went to college at Kansas State University, and headed our separate ways into more schooling and “real jobs” after graduating. We quickly decided that the corporate world was not for us and after some research, nail biting and a lot of prayer, On the Pot was born!

We have been open since 2002 and love every minute of what we do! We love nothing more than being creative and trying out new things. Our current new favorite is painting kid bedrooms and playrooms. We’re have adopted a strictly no faux policy but we love doing kid stuff!

Julie is an instillation artist at the Smoky Hill River Festival and Robin serves on the Salina Downtown Board of Directors. We and our friends have an active (slightly rabid) Relay for Life team that raises money for the American Cancer Society. So that’s a little bit about us, we can’t wait to meet you, so come see us anytime.
